Grantees and Colleagues-
TEAM WEB is now open for FY 2008! As you may already know, we do not have FY 2008 apportionments at this time. In the meanwhile, FTA strongly encourages you to utilize this time frame to complete the following actions:
- Certify and Pin your 2008 Certifications and Assurances within TEAM Web. You will not be able to submit ANY grants until this function has been completed.
-Make sure you are cleared and have provided any necessary Civil Rights updates/deliverables in advance. If you have any questions regarding any component of the Civil Rights process, please contact Frank Billue here in Region 4 at 404-865-5600.
-Prepare and submit your LAPSING grants NOW. Please do not wait until the summer to get these grants taken care of. For this year, all DISCRETIONARY (i.e. Section 5309 earmarks, Section 5308 Clean Fuels, etc.) unobligated or unused funds from Fiscal Year 2006 will lapse at the end of FY 2008.
-Prepare and submit any carryover grants that did not meet last year’s deadline.
-Please make sure your allocations and any transfer funds you’re applying for are in an approved or amended TIP and STIP. Always remember to provide documentation within your grant/project details that illustrate these approval dates.
-Always send an email to your Planning contact to let them know when you have a DRAFT grant ready for review in TEAM.
-DEADLINES for grant making this year are as follows:
DISCRETIONARY GRANTS (Section 5308, Section 5309, etc.) must be completed with all FTA comments resolved and cleared no later than June 16, 2008!
FORMULA GRANTS (Section 5303, Section 5307, Section 5316, Section 5317, etc.) must be completed with all FTA comments resolved and cleared no later than July 15, 2008.
Please note that you can submit your grants anytime before these deadlines. Please do not wait until the last minute to prepare your applications. As always, we ask that you remain responsive to the FTA comments and make any corrections/edits in a timely fashion to keep the process moving along.
A presentation is included which covers basic grant making procedures and reminders. Please review this presentation at your leisure, and feel free to refer to it throughout the course of this fiscal year.
