Subject:  Federal Register Publication - Notice of Request for a New Collection

 

Dear Transit Colleague:

 

FTA issued a Federal Register Publication on December 17, 2007 concerning the Notice of Request for a New Collection.  This notice is a request for comments.  FTA invites public comments about the intention to request the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) to approve a new collection:  49 U.S.C. 5317, New Freedom Program.  The information to be collected will be used to accumulate mass transportation financial and operating information using a uniform system of accounts and records.  Comments must be submitted before January 16, 2008.
