Subject: National Transit Institute Public - Transportation Passenger Security Inspections T-Class Scheduled for December 13, 2007

The National Transit Institute (NTI) is presenting a T-Class concerning Public Transportation Passenger Security Inspections: A Guide for Policy Decision Makers (TCRP Report #86) on December 13, 2007 from 2:00pm - 3:30pm Eastern Time.
NTI’s free T-Class, Public Transportation Passenger Security Inspections: A Guide for Policy Decision Makers is based on TCRP’s Report #86, Volume 13. Transit agencies have sought guidance in considering whether or not to introduce passenger security inspections into their operations, and how to undertake such a program. TCRP Report 86, Volume 13 assembled information from various sources, including state departments of transportation, and was guided by a panel of experts. The newly released report identifies practices that were acceptable within the limitations of the knowledge available at the time of its preparation. The T-Class will be presented by Ron Frazier of Countermeasures Assessment and Security Experts, LLC of Camden, NJ. The T-Class lasts 90 minutes and is delivered in a telephone conference format.
