Subject:  Federal Register Publication - Proposed Circulars; Extension of Comment Period

Dear Transit Colleague:

FTA issued a Federal Register Publication on October 31, 2007 concerning the Proposed Program Guidance Circulars.  This is a notice of the Extension of Comments Periods.  On September 28, 2007 the FTA published notices seeking comments on four guidance circulars for four FTA Programs.  This notice extends the comment periods of each of these notices.  The new comment periods are as follows:

Metropolitan Planning Program and State Planning and Research Program Grants – November 30, 2007
Grant Management Requirements – January 4, 2008
Capital Investment Program – January 25, 2008
Third Party Contracting – February 15, 2008
The publication is included as an attachment to this email or it can be retrieved at http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2007/pdf/E7-21462.pdf.

Please feel free to distribute this throughout your organization as appropriate.

Sincerely,

Letitia A. Thompson

Regional Administrator
