Subject:  Meeting Summary from the 11th Annual SSO Program Meeting

Dear Transit Colleague:

FTA held the 11th Annual State Safety Oversight (SSO) Program Meeting on September 17-20, 2007 in Minneapolis, MN.  The Regional Office has been provided a copy of the Meeting Summary and Participant List.  The Meeting Summary provides a detailed account of each of the meeting’s sessions, including comments from participants, speakers, industry representatives, and Federal partners.  The Participant List, a Table of Contents for the 11th Annual SSO Program Meeting CD-ROM, and an Evaluation Summary depicting the results of the evaluation forms completed by participants at the 11th Annual SSO Program Meeting is also available.  These documents are very large, approximately 200 pages total, and unfortunately they are not available online at this time.  If you would like a hard copy of these documents please contact Ann Dolecki at (215) 656-7001 or at ann.dolecki@dot.gov to have one mailed to your office.

Hopefully, for those who were unable to attend the 11th Annual SSO Program Meeting, this summary will provide an overview of what transpired, and the key issues of concern.  For those who did attend, it may provide a resource regarding the contents of specific sessions that may have been of interest.  Those attending the SSO Meeting should have already received the documents referred to above.
