Subject: Comprehensive ADA Paratransit Eligibility Determination Course
Dear Transit Colleague:
The National Transit Institute will be sponsoring a “Comprehensive ADA Paratransit Eligibility Determination” class in Washington, DC on October 14-15 2008.
The comprehensive course is intended for people who are interested in learning about several in-person interview/assessment tools and approaches to apply them in their systems. The course begins with a review of ADA paratransit criteria and then reviews ADA paratransit eligibility requirements. The two-day session presents more detailed information about alternative eligibility determination processes, with a focus on in-person interview and assessment options. It also addresses "difficult" determination issues and presents options for trip-by-trip eligibility determinations.
You can register for this class on-line at the National Transit Institute’s website at http://www.ntionline.com/ or by faxing in the attached registration form to (732) 932-1707. The contact person at NTI is Myrna Sirleaf. She can be reached at (732) 932-1700 ext 228 or via email at msirleaf@nti.rutgers.edu. Tuition shall be waived for Federal, state and local government employees who work in transportation or related areas. There is a $300 fee for contractors and consultants.
Sincerely,
Letitia A. Thompson
