Subject:  DOT Unified Certification Program (UCP) Workshop

 

The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires that all direct and indirect recipients of DOT funding establish a Unified Certification Program (UCP) to provide a one-stop certification process for businesses in each state seeking certification to participate in the DBE program.

 

FTA has finalized the arrangements for the DOT UCP Workshop.  It will be held August 14th at the Sheraton Denver West in Lakewood, CO.  The DOT UCP Workshop will review federal laws and regulations; discuss what components are expected in a UCP; discuss recently implemented and proposed guidance; and discuss best practices in implementing an effective UCP.  This training will help grantees better understand the requirements of the UCP and be able to apply the content learned during this workshop to daily work activities and local environment.  All reservations must be made by July 25, 2008.
