Subject:  National Transit Institute Course - Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Dear Colleague:

The National Transit Institute will be sponsoring a Quality Assurance & Quality Control course in Newark, NJ on June 24-25, 2008.

This course will be offered to current and new transit professionals that engage in federally funded activities.  It will be particularly beneficial for grantees, FTA staff, consultants, contractors, and vendors.  This training will provide an overview of the essential elements of quality assurance and quality control in transit projects and address the inter-relationships and balances among quality, costs, and schedules.  This course will also review and expand upon the FTA’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control Guidelines: February 2002 and address the various perspectives for quality from an owner, consultant, contractor, vendor, and user points of view.

You can register for this class on-line at the National Transit Institute’s website at http://www.ntionline.com/ or by faxing in the below registration form  to (732) 932-1707.   The contact person at NTI is Myrna Sirleaf.  She can be reached at (732) 932-1700 ext 228 or via email at msirleaf@nti.rutgers.edu.  Tuition shall be waived for federal, state and local government employees who work in transportation or related areas.  There is a $ 300 fee for contractors and consultants.

Registration Information: Tuition (if applicable) includes all course materials. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations and meals. Register early to avoid disappointment, as enrollment is limited. All training is held in accessible facilities. Please advise NTI a minimum of three weeks in advance if you require any special arrangements or materials.

Refund Policy: Cancellation with full refund will be accepted until 10 business days prior to the class. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after that date. Tuition will be billed if a faxed or written cancellation is not received and acknowledged from NTI.  Refunds take a minimum of five weeks to process. Those who have registered but are unable to attend may send a substitute. Please advise the Registrar of any substitutions.
