Subject:  Selection of Director, Office of Program Management and Oversight for the Region III Office

 

Dear Transit Colleague:

 

I am pleased to announce that Michael McCollum has been selected for the position of Director, Office of Program Management & Oversight for the Region III Office that has been vacant since the retirement of Dev Soni.  Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University and a Masters degree in Civil and Urban Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Mike joined UMTA in 1976 as a Transportation Representative in the Planning and Program Development Division and worked on developing and approving Capital and Operating Grants for the various transit operators in Region III.  After seven years, Mike switched to the Program Management Division as a General Engineer where he worked on numerous Major Capital Projects and served as the Safety & Security Coordinator.
