Dear Transit Colleague:

 

FTA issued a Federal Register Publication (See attachment) on August 24, 2007 concerning the Notice of Public Meetings on Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Major Capital Investment Projects.  This notice announces the dates, times, and locations of five public meetings to be held in September and October 2007.  Presentations delivered at these meetings will describe the provisions of the NPRM issued by FTA on August 3, 2007 that proposes to implement the provision of SAFETEA-LU, the Federal surface transportation law.  The document has been posted on FTA's Federal Register webpage (http://www.fta.dot.gov/laws/leg_reg_federal_register.html) as well as on FTA's SAFETEA-LU Federal Register page (http://www.fta.dot.gov/index_6533.html).
