FTA issued a Federal Register Publication on August 7, 2007 concerning the Environmental Impact and Related Procedures.  This is a Notice of proposed rulemaking.  This notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) provides interested parties with the opportunity to comment on proposed changes to the joint FTA/FHWA procedures that implement the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  Comments must be received by October 9, 2007.  This notice can be retrieved online through the Department of Transportation Docket Management System, http://dms.dot.gov.  Click on simple search and enter docket number 26604 into the docket search area.
