Transit 511: International Best Practices Symposium

Sponsored by the USDOT Joint Programs Office and the Federal Transit Administration.
The American Public Transportation Association is hosting an international workshop on the integration of public transit information into 511 services. Speakers will include representatives from U.S. states and transit agencies that have deployed or are in the process of deploying 511, and international speakers who will discuss similar traveler information deployments. Topics will include communications and interoperability, system content and architecture, business models, marketing and parallels with the concurrent development of 211. Officials from state DOTs, transit agencies, municipal agencies, emergency services, metropolitan planning organizations, and private vendors are encouraged to attend.
