Subject:  Presentation of FTA’s Course on Alternatives Analysis

 

Dear Transit Colleague:

 

FTA will be offering a course on Alternatives Analysis on April 10-12, 2007 in Washington, DC and sometime in November in San Francisco.  An alternatives analysis is the planning requirement for projects seeking New and Small Starts funding.  This course describes a number of elements of alternatives analyses including FTA requirements.  The course was offered in Denver, CO and Philadelphia, PA last September and November respectively.  Those sessions were well attended, so FTA encourages you to register for the new offerings soon as the space will be limited.  The course will be taught by Don Emerson of PB Consult, and Jim Ryan and Ron Fisher from FTA.  Attached is the agenda from the Philadelphia offering.  The agenda for the new offerings will be virtually the same.

 

A block of rooms have been set aside for the Washington Court Hotel.  Registration can be made at www.regonline.com/122158.  Another e-mail will be sent once the hotel accommodations for San Francisco are finalized.
