The National Transit Institute (NTI) is presenting a FREE course “Management of Transit Construction Projects” ($450 for consultants and contractors) scheduled for June 1-3, 2009 in Seattle, Washington.

The objective of this three-day course is to address the basics of good project management for transit projects, with specific emphasis on the requirements that are presented in the report, Project and Construction Management Guidelines 2003 Update. This course uses the guidelines to teach the process of good project management to grantees with major capital projects who are required to implement Project Management Plans, as well as grantees with smaller capital projects.

This course is intended for managers, planners, and engineers involved in the management and control of major and non-major Federal Transit Administration (FTA)-funded capital projects encompassing the planning, design, construction, and post-construction phases; directors of grantee consultant teams participating in the management of a major project; and managers of FTA Project Management Oversight (PMO) consultants.

If you are interested in attending, please use the following link http://www.ntionline.com/CourseInfo.asp?CourseNumber=FP017 and register online. Seating is limited for this course, so register early.
