JARC and New Freedom Data Collection Postponed
As you know, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has undertaken a project to collect performance information on the Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom programs in order to evaluate and report on the accomplishments of the programs as required under the Government Performance Results Act (GPRA). We have developed an online reporting system and intended to ask JARC and New Freedom designated recipients and their sub-recipients to provide us with information on their programs beginning this month.
While we still plan to complete this project, we want to ensure that our reporting request does not complicate the very important work that will be undertaken over the next several months to apply for, manage, and report on Economic Recovery Act funds that will become available.
Therefore, we are postponing our request to provide FTA with JARC and New Freedom program information until after May 1, 2009. After this date, we will notify you of our revised reporting schedule and provide any additional information necessary to complete this project.
We have included the link to the web-based reporting system, http://ftajarcnf.cesnn.com/, so that you can preview the information that we will eventually request that you and your sub-recipients provide to us. We expect to open reporting for a two month period beginning in early May, 2009. At that time, we will send another bulletin to announce the reporting period and relevant deadlines.
