Real Estate Appraisal Review
The purpose of this bulletin is to advise you of a change in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Region 10’s process for submitting appraisals for review, consistent with FTA Circular C5010.1C.
In accordance with C5010.1c, prior FTA concurrence is required when the grantee’s recommended offer of just compensation to purchase real estate for a project utilizing FTA funds exceeds $250,000, or when a property appraised at $250,000 or more must be condemned. Effectively immediately, if you have an appraisal that meets the prior approval requirements of C5010.1c, please send one copy by overnight mail to the following FTA Headquarters office:

Also send one copy overnight to the Region 10 Office using the Seattle address listed in the header of this bulletin.
