Federal Transit Administration (FTA) would like to invite you to attend one of the Financial Management Oversight (FMO) seminars that will be conducted during the year.


The FTA Financial Management Oversight Seminars 2007 schedule:

 Session I --------- March 20 - March 22, 2007
 Drake Hotel, Chicago, IL

 Session II --------- April 3 - 5, 2007
 The Westin Seattle, Seattle, WA

 Session III -------- June 5 - 7, 2007
 The Westin St. Francis, San Francisco, CA

 Session IV ------- August 14 - 16, 2007
 Marriott New York at the Brooklyn Bridge


These seminars are a part of our ongoing oversight efforts to enhance and refine our grantees’ financial management systems to meet the standards established by the Common Rule (49 CFR Part 18.20). The seminar also covers the topics of Financial Capacity Assessments and the related financial plan requirements for grantees seeking New Start Funding. The instructors will also lead a review of sound internal control principles, cost principles, cost allocation plans and business disaster recovery planning.

The seminar is highly interactive and provides plenty of opportunity to network with your peers at other agencies and identify best practices for meeting Federal requirements.
