SUBJECT:  October 25, 2006 Webcast Meeting on Grant Streamlining Initiative

A recent Federal Register Notice announced the first open stakeholder meeting and Webcast that will be sponsored by the Chief Financial Officer Council’s Grants Policy Committee on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will be the first of four sessions planned. 
 
The purpose of this meeting is to raise awareness of past, present and planned initiatives of the Public Law (Pub. L.) 106-107 Working Groups—including Code of Federal Regulations Title 2, standard grant terms and conditions currently in draft, performance reporting, grants training and certification requirements, invention reporting and financial reporting. 
 
Seating is limited - the first 80 people to respond can be part of the live audience. To reserve your seat, follow the instructions set forth in the Federal Register Notice. The notice also sets forth the instructions necessary to participate via Webcast. Please email PL106107@hhs.gov with your comments on the Federal Grants Streamlining Initiative.
