REGION 10 BULLETIN NO: 03-04
SUBJECT: Safety and Security Contacts
PROGRAM AREA: Program Management-Safety and Security
DATE: May 22, 2003

This bulletin is a follow-up to the elevation of the national threat level to High (Orange) and to the May 7, 2003 bulletin requesting 24-hour emergency contact information from the largest transit agencies in the region.  We are now making this request for emergency contact information to all of our grantees as indicated in the May 7th bulletin.  For those of you that responded to the May 7th bulletin, this serves as the opportunity for us to verify and update the previously received information for this new elevation of the national threat level.  If your information has not changed, please indicate so by responding “no change”.  Again, our intended use of this contact information is for the purpose of gathering information about critical incidents for U.S. Department of Transportation dissemination.

We are requesting updated information for agency General Managers, Security Managers, and Directors of Operations.  Please complete the following data fields for each.  If this information applies to a single person or persons having different titles please respond as appropriate:

This procedure does not replace or eliminate the need to provide similar information to our Washington D.C. Crisis Management Center by calling 202-366-1863 or emailing at cmc-01@rspa.dot.gov or cmc-02@rspa.dot.gov.

We will make judicious use of this information only as the need arises.  Please reply to Melissa Delaney (melissa.delaney@dot.gov) and copy Michael J. Williams (michael.williams@dot.gov).  If you have questions please contact Michael J. Williams at (206) 220-7965 or at the email address indicated.
