SUBJECT: Guidance for Code Orange – High Threat Level, 24-Hour Contact Information Update

The purpose of this bulletin is to provide guidance for the Code Orange – High threat level for the mass transportation portion of the transportation sector, and to request an update of 24-hour emergency contact information for all of our grantees.

We are directing your attention to the Federal Transit Administration web site at www.fta.dot.gov/. Click on Safety & Security where you will find information for the Homeland Security Advisory System at the top of the page.

The updated contact information will be used to distribute information related to this incident and other critical incidents regarding security for U.S. Department of Transportation dissemination.

We are requesting updated contact information for agency General Managers, Security Managers, and Directors of Operations. The contact information should put us in real-time contact with your agency on a 24-hour basis should the need arise.

We will make judicious use of this information only as the need arises and with restricted access to the contact information.
