Extension of Low/No Emission RFP Deadline

Due to heightened public interest in the Request for Proposal (RFP) and the volume of technical questions received, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is extending the application submission deadline to April 10, 2014, and will conduct an online webinar to address questions. Notification of the deadline extension is available on the Federal Register at http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-03-10/pdf/2014-05196.pdf.  Information regarding the webinar will be posted to FTA’s Calendar of Events at http://www.fta.dot.gov/newsroom/calendar.html.

Background

Pursuant to the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21), FTA published a Notice for RFP for the deployment of low or no emission transit buses on January 9, 2014 (see Region 10 Bulletin 2014-03, January 14, 2014, http://www.fta.dot.gov/regions/region10/region10_15791.html). The RFP made available $24.9 million of Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 funds for the deployment of low or no emission transit buses (previous deadline March 10, 2014).
