Grants for Transportation of Veterans in Highly Rural Areas
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) would like to make you aware of the availability of funding, through our colleagues at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), to support transportation for veterans in very rural areas. The VA’s Veterans Transportation Program (VTP) has opened up the grant application process again beginning December 3rd. This grant application period is from December 3, 2013 to midnight February 3, 2014. Applicants can only apply on http://www.GRANTS.gov. Applications cannot be emailed or faxed.

The VTP’s program purpose is to provide grants to eligible recipients to assist veterans in highly rural areas through innovative transportation services to travel to VA medical centers and to other VA and non-VA facilities to assist in providing transportation services in connection with the provision of VA medical care.
