FTA Back in Business
The purpose of this bulletin is to let all Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grantees know that FTA has re-opened for business along with the rest of the Federal Government.
Due to a lapse in funding, FTA was closed from October 1 through October 16. With the passage of a continuing resolution last night, FTA is now open for business. Your grantee representatives will be calling or emailing your staff to discuss how to prioritize the backlog of work that may have accumulated during the period of the government shutdown.
Other noteworthy updates include:
• Electronic Clearing House Operation (ECHO) system has reopened and grantees may request grant disbursements through the ECHO website.
• Transportation Electronic Award Management (TEAM) system has not yet reopened for new grant awards using prior year funds, however, we expect that functionality to be restored soon; we will notify you when that occurs.
• Grantees can use TEAM to report on open grants. As a reminder, annual reports are due for all open grants awarded prior to October 1, 2013. Unfortunately, the training on grant reporting scheduled for October 10 was cancelled and we won’t be able to reschedule this training prior to the October 30 due date. We are attaching the information on grant reporting from Bulletin 2013-37 for your use. Please see Bulletin 2013-37 on our website at http://www.fta.dot.gov/regions/region10/region10_15697.html or contact your grantee representative for more information on grant reporting.
