The Office of Operations and Program Management for the Region 10 Office in Seattle, Washington has an opening for a permanent full-time General Engineer GS-0801-09/11/12.
You will provide engineering and project management assistance of a specialized and innovative nature to program managers, senior staff and grantees in the form of construction techniques, solutions to problems, innovations in procurement, etc., to insure that projects are properly designed and managed to achieve the approved purpose and are completed on schedule. This position will also assist in the management of the Regional Project Management Oversight Consultant (PMOC) Program.
The ideal candidate for this position communicates effectively with transportation officials of all levels on a variety of issues to provide expertise in grant development and program management; negotiate and resolve matters in dispute; find solutions to problems; motivate; and advise on project status.
