Urbanized Area Formula Program Proposed Circular
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has placed in the docket and on its website, proposed guidance, in the form of a circular, to assist recipients in their implementation of the section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program. The purpose of this proposed circular is to provide recipients of FTA financial assistance with instructions and guidance on program administration and the grant application process. The proposed revisions to the existing circular are a result of changes made to the Urbanized Area Formula Program by the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act. By this notice, FTA invites public comment on the proposed circular.
Comments must be submitted by June 21, 2013. Late-filed comments will be considered to the extent practicable.

The agency name (Federal Transit Administration) and Docket Number (FTA-2013-0010) must be included at the beginning of each submission. If sent by mail, please submit two copies. Due to security procedures in effect since October 2001, mail received through the U.S. Postal Service may be subject to delays. Parties mailing comments should consider using an express mail firm to ensure their prompt filing. If you wish to receive confirmation that FTA received your comments, you must include a self-addressed stamped postcard.
