New Planning and Program Development Director for Region 10
After a nation-wide search, we are very pleased to announce the selection of Amy Changchien, as the new Planning and Program Development Office Director for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Region 10 office.
Amy started her career at FTA in 2005 as a Community Planner, working on some of our most interesting projects in Alaska. In 2007, she took on the role of Regional Engineer, responsible for the Project Management Oversight of Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregonís New Starts projects in Portland, Oregon and continuing her work with Alaska grantees. Amy has been very involved in streetcar projects and worked on the Department of Transportation team that selected the initial round of projects for the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) program.
Prior to joining FTA, Amy worked in the capital projects and budget offices for the Washington State Ferries. She earned both a Bachelorís Degree in Civil Engineering and a Masterís Degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband and their four young energetic children.
