After a nation-wide search, we are very pleased to announce the selection of Kenneth Feldman, as the new Deputy Regional Administrator for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Region 10 office.

Ken has been with FTA since 2002 and previously served as a Navy officer and as a General Engineer for the Economic Development Administration. As a Regional Engineer when he was first hired with FTA, he took on the role of overseeing Sound Transitís improvement effort and then dramatically enhanced Region 10ís oversight performance in the last six years as Director of Operations and Project Management. He also made substantive contributions to the development of FTAís approach to risk assessment.

Ken has an engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin, a Masterís Degree in construction management from the University of Washington and is a licensed professional engineer in Washington. In his spare time, he coaches his sonís sports teams, an endeavor which certainly helps develop patience and communication skills and keeps fit while jogging and walking his hyperactive dog.

Included with this bulletin is our latest realignment of our staff organization. The most recent version of our organizational chart will always be available on our web site†http://www.fta.dot.gov/12926_region10.html under Region 10ís profile on the right-hand side.

For further information, contact Region 10ís main line at 206-220-7954 and you will be transferred to the proper individual.

Sincerely,

/s/
