The National Transit Institute (NTI), in cooperation with the Transportation Research Board, is offering a two-part webinar series in May on the highlights from the 9th National Conference on Transportation Asset Management (TAM).

The first webinar in the series, Part 1: Highlights from Transit State of Good Repair Track, on May 16, 2012, will focus on best practices and potential next steps to improve Asset Management and State of Good Repair (SGR). Topics include balancing system expansion and system renewal, innovative and cost effective TAM Practices, infrastructure renewal funding strategies, and linking performance and maintenance requirements.

Presenters/Panelists include David Rose and Lauren Isaac, Parsons Brinckerhoff; Rick Laver, CH2MHill; Bob Peskin, AECOM; and Rob Padgette, High Street Consulting.

The second webinar in the series, Part 2: Federal Transit Administration and Transit Cooperative Research Program - Research Results and Initiative, on May 30, 2012, highlight two key on-going TAM and SGR research projects. The purpose of the research is to offer the transit industry technical assistance in developing and improving TAM and SGR practices. Topics include development of asset inventory, asset condition assessment research, and tools for identifying SGR.

Presenters/Panelists include David Rose and Lauren Isaac, Parsons Brinckerhoff; and Bill Robert, Spy Pond Partners.
