Service and Fare Equity Analysis Guidance
Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is announcing the availability of new Service and Fare Equity Guidance. This document is supplemental guidance to help you comply with service and fare equity analysis requirements outlined in FTA’s Title VI Circular 4702.1A. The guidance is designed to assist FTA grantees with completing the service and fare equity analysis. The guidance only applies to those grantees that are in urbanized areas 200,000 and over and receive 5307 funds.
I encourage you to use this guidance as you begin to prepare your upcoming budgets and may be considering raising fares and/or implementing major service changes.
