Federal Transit Administration (FTA) would like to invite you to attend one of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 Financial Management Oversight (FMO) seminars that will be conducted during the year.

The seminar schedule, in brief, are designed for FTA grantees responsible for assuring appropriate application of Federal statutory requirements and FTA policies related to grant funds. The seminar provides a walk through of these prevailing requirements to assure grantee compliance in implementation including output derived from their financial management system. Each of the four specialized FMO reviews is discussed with detailed discussions held on the requirements associated with each review. The seminar provides real-life case studies to foster a better understanding of the requirements and how they are applied in varied situations using group settings. Please note that there are deadlines to registering for hotel accommodations.

Registration is free and required to attend a seminar. To register for a seminar, complete the attached registration form and submit via email to fmoseminars@reidconsult.com or fax to the attention of Janisha Richardson, at FAX 571-257-5091. The FTA public web site may be used to access the seminar’s overview, agenda, registration, and hotel links and instructions - http://www.fta.dot.gov/funding/oversight/grants_financing_99.html. Do not assume that your registration is confirmed until you receive your confirmation email. Attendance is limited to two individuals per agency in order to accommodate as many agencies as possible and the maximum number of participants is 40. Attached also is a tentative agenda.

FTA encourages chief financial officers, internal auditors and financial, project and grant managers to take advantage of these seminars.
