In an effort to improve the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, Deputy Secretary of Transportation John D. Porcari signed a letter explaining efforts being made. Deputy Secretary Porcari is the Department’s chief operating officer with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of 10 modal administrations and the work of more than 55,000 DOT employees nationwide and overseas.
Please read the attached letter from the Deputy Secretary and consider carefully. A follow-up letter from the Federal Transit Administrator (FTA) Peter Rogoff will be sent shortly and we will forward on to all.
