Single Audit Act (A-133) Reporting
This is a reminder of the Federal Transit Administrationís (FTA) reporting requirements related to Single Audit Act (A-133) reporting. FTA requires grantees expending $500,000 or more in Federal financial assistance to secure an independent annual audit of their financial activities (conducted in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133). The audit report must be submitted to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse (FAC) within the earlier of: 30 days after the audit report issuance, or nine months after the end of the audit period. The FAC can be accessed through the following link: http://harvester.census.gov/fac/.
Depending on the results of your annual independent single audit, the following information must be submitted to FTA on the same day it is transmitted to the FAC:
1. If your audit contains FTA program findings, a copy of the entire audit report must be submitted to the FTA regional office. If your agency receives funds from more than one U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) agency and FTA is your point of contact for all Disadvantaged Business Enterpise (DBE) program issues, then you must submit the entire audit report if it contains any findings related to any DOT program.
2. If your audit contains no FTA program findings or other U. S. DOT program findings, a copy of only the Federal Clearinghouse transmittal sheet must be submitted to the regional office.
