The National Transit Institute (NTI) will be presenting a FREE course ($300 for consultants and contractors) titled “Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Real Estate Requirements” course in 3 locations:
Denver, CO
February 10-11, 2010
Fort Worth, TX
March 23-24, 2010
Portland, OR
April 7-8, 2010
The acquisition of real estate and the displacement of persons for an FTA assisted project is regulated by the Uniform Act. FTA has developed various additional regulatory guidance materials for its grantees’ real estate activities. The practical application of the law and the other regulatory materials is often confusing for grantees. This course is an introduction to those issues and provides attendees with a “hands-on” experience for many aspects of the real estate requirements. Course topics include appraisals, appraisal review, negotiation, relocation, and the development of a Real Estate Acquisition Management Plan (RAMP) and Relocation Plan. Additionally, the course discusses non-Uniform Act issues such as in-kind contributions and donations.
If you are interested in attending, please follow this link https://www.ntionline.com/CourseInfo.asp?CourseNumber=TPM15 and register on line. Register early to guarantee your space; if there is a waiting list, please download the waiting list form from the web site and fax it to 732-932-1707.
