FY 2010 State Management Review Workshops

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is sponsoring four free workshops, “Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 State Management Reviews”. The State Management Review assesses a state or territory's management practices and program implementation of the FTA funded transit and planning programs to ensure that they are administered in accordance with 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53, Federal transit law provisions. As the Common Rule gives states and territories more flexibility in managing aspects of their FTA funded programs, the workshop also clarifies requirements as they apply to states.

In addition to addressing the requirements of the Section 5307, 5309, 5310, 5311, 5316, and 5317 programs, the 2010 review program addresses the Statewide and Metropolitan planning programs and requirements unique to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Two-day workshops will take place at the following locations and times:

Fort Worth, Texas - December 8-9, 2009
Boston, Massachusetts - December 15-16, 2009
San Francisco, California - January 13-14, 2010
Atlanta, Georgia - January 19-20, 2010

The workshops are targeted towards State DOT professionals who manage FTA funded programs or projects, or manage transit service or compliance programs. The workshops are designed to help attendees broaden their understanding of the Federal rules and regulations that shape and define their programs.
