Welcome to FTA Region I where excellent customer service is our top priority. Located in Cambridge, MA, our regional office serves the New England area and includes the States of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. In Fiscal Year 2009, Region I provided $599.7 million in federal funding, awarding 175 grants for a variety of activities including the purchase of buses and vans and the construction of critical infrastructure for bus and rail transit systems throughout New England. $384.4 million of this total was provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for high priority ready to go projects.
