This letter responds to a request under 49 U.S.C. Sec 5309(e)(11), as amended by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible and Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU).
This section directed FTA to submit a report to Congress on the methodology to be used in evaluating the land use and economic development impacts of non-fixed guideway or partial fixed guideway projects funded under a new Small Starts program.
This letter was transmitted to Congress in January 2006.
