Over the next few years, FTA will be collecting information and data on each TIGGER project to assess the success of the TIGGER program as well as validate greenhouse gas (GHG) and energy savings claims made in project proposals. To aid in this task, FTA has entered into an intra-agency agreement with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to conduct this effort. NREL is a National Laboratory under the Department of Energy dedicated to the research, development, commercialization and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL, directed by FTA, will collect information and data from each project and analyze results to determine overall program impacts and assess how each project has contributed toward meeting program goals.
On June 28th FTA hosted a webinar for TIGGER Program stakeholders involved in the program evaluation. Additional information on the Assessment and Validation Program can be found within the TIGGER Assessment and Validation Program Webinar (PowerPoint).
