Contacting Transit Agencies

Q. We are a commercial paint and body facility and have experience in repairing and refinishing transit buses.  Could you tell me what or where is the best source to find opportunities to bid on painting of transit buses?  We are primarily interested in the South Eastern US.

A. Most transit agencies in the U.S. are members of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).   On the web page you will see a box for "finding a public transit agency," and you then enter a state, which will take you to transit agencies in that state.  You can then contact those agencies and explore business opportunities with them individually.
