The Federal Transit Administration is a proud sponsor of the 15th National Rural Public and Intercity Bus Transportation Conference to be held at The Lodge at Sawmill Creek in Huron, Ohio, October 27-30, 2002.

This year’s conference provides a great learning opportunity for managers, policy makers, researchers and others that work in field of rural public and intercity bus transportation. The conference theme is "Fundamental Connections: Thinking Outside the Bus." We have scheduled six "routes" of sessions, roundtable meetings, and specialty workshops, including, but not limited to, Small System Management, Intercity Bus, Transit Policy-Making in Rural America, Quality Service, the Changing Face of Rural America, and the Bus in the Sky. For hotel and registration information, please call (800) 448-9989

(9:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.). You also may register on-line for the conference and obtain current information online at [www.ruraltransportationconference.org].

I encourage your organization’s participation and attendance at the 15th National Conference. I think you will find it a worthwhile investment in advancing your agency’s participation in rural transit programs.

Sincerely,
Jennifer L. Dorn
