Dear Colleague:

I would like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention an enhancement that is being made to the Transportation Electronic Award Management (TEAM) system. I would also like to inform you as to how the changes will affect your organization, and provide a schedule of when the updated version of TEAM will be available. The Federal Transit Administration is in the process of creating a version of TEAM that will permit grantees to submit their grant information via the Internet. This new version is called TEAM-Web. TEAM-Web is a Web-based program that requires a user to have Internet Explorer 5.5 or NETSCAPE 6.0 installed on their personal computer.

The use of the Internet simplifies the requirements of loading the application software on your personal computer. The latest version of the TEAM-Web system will reside on the Internet. This means there will be no requirement for you to load the TEAM software on your PC from a compact disk; however, all users must have access to the Internet to use the new TEAM-Web. Information on the hardware requirements for TEAM-Web is enclosed.

The BETA test version of TEAM-Web is scheduled to be available on May 29, 2001. I suggest you take advantage of this opportunity to review this latest enhancement. For your convenience, all current user information will be migrated to the Web version of TEAM. To review this latest enhancement, log on to your local Internet provider and enter the following Internet address: http://ftateamweb.fta.dot.gov/. The production version of TEAM-Web will be deployed in time for processing grant information beginning Fiscal year 2002.

I would like to personally thank you for your continued support in using TEAM to submit your grant information electronically. I look forward to continuing our working partnership with your organization in the introduction of this exciting new enhancement.
