CA: $44.7 Million - Cities of Roseville, Los Angeles, Culver and Madera, Imperial County, Omnitrans, Napa County Transportation Planning Agency, San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission and Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority (ARRA Grant)

Grants are being awarded as follows:

 City of Roseville: $1.3 million to rebuild and refurbish 33 buses.

 Imperial County: $1.2 million to build a bus transfer facility on an existing piece of unimproved property in El Centro. This project will facilitate the transfer of passengers between the intercity and intracity bus systems. Funding will provide for important upgrades to the site that will provide for added security, increased building longevity, adequate roadway design for bus traffic, ADA compliance, improved site drainage and reduced energy consumption. Funding will also be used for the upgrading of the intersection State and 7th Streets.

 City of Los Angeles: $8 million for the purchase of 16 new 40-foot. over-the-road, CNG coaches to replace aging diesel buses.

 Culver City: $3.6 million for preventive maintenance, improvements to the intermodal station at Robertson Boulevard, and improvements to the pedestrian connections between Culver City bus stops and the intermodal station.

 Omnitrans, San Bernardino County: $20.7 million for preventive maintenance and to buy equipment and software, preventive maintenance, equipment, and spare parts. Funds will also be used to purchase fareboxes for 144 coaches and a video surveillance system, as well as for the construction of the Yucaipa Transit Center, which will be the eastern terminus for Omnitrans, Access and Omnilink services.

 Napa County Transportation Planning Agency: $2.8 million for the purchase of four gasoline hybrid-electric powered low-floor buses which will replace aging diesel buses, as well as for the construction of a park-and-ride intermodal transit facility in Napa..

 San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission: $1.7 million to upgrade their track and railbed for the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) trains.

 Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority: $4 million for preventive maintenance, resurfacing of the bus parking lot, and the replacement of driver exchange and staff cars. Funds will also be used for a new information technology system that will allow automatic vehicle location and passenger counting.

 City of Madera: $1.2 million to purchase eight buses and 13 passenger shelters, and to perform preventive maintenance for the transit fleet.
