On February 28, 2007 FTA reissued its circular entitled, Nonurbanized Area Formula Program Guidance and Grant Application Instructions.  This circular is a re-issuance of guidance on the administration of the transit assistance program for nonurbanized areas under 49 U.S.C. 5311, and guidance for the preparation of grant applications.  This revision incorporates provisions of the SAFETEA–LU, and includes the most up-to-date guidance available for the program.

This Circular is effective April 1, 2007.

NOTE: This page is being redesigned to display the circular in its entirety. We plan to break out the document in chapter sequence and include hyperlinks to facilitate searches and easier access to the subject matter and select sections. In the interim, however, the complete FTA Circular C 9040.1F is being made available for your convenience in the attached files, in two formats. [PDF] [Word]
