Q. In a recent Triennial Review, we were told we should have contract language about ADA in our third party procurements. This is in addition to language found in sample clauses of the BBPM under Civil Rights. Do you have any sample contract language that would be appropriate?
A. FTA is currently working on a contract clause to incorporate appropriate ADA requirements, but it is not yet available.

Q. We are constructing computer desks that will be ADA compliant. However, I need to know where I can find out what requirements my computer keyboards must comply with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A. We would suggest you contact the agency that is funding your contract, and the Department of Justice (ADA web page) since they have jurisdiction of the ADA requirements.

Q. For an ADA purchase with Federal funding is it necessary to list all items that are being bought on the purchase order, or can we do a per attached referencing the quotation number on the order and attach the list to the purchase order?

Q. I am diabetic and I use insulin. Is there any law saying that I am restricted from driving in the United States?

Q. Is it a policy of the FTA to respond to all complaints of discrimination?
A. In response to your question, below: Yes. FTA, specifically the Office of Civil Rights, will conduct an investigation and respond whenever a complaint or any other information indicates a possible failure to comply with civil rights requirements. If a written complaint does not allege a violation that FTA can act on then there may not be a response. All complaints are responded to in the order that they are received.
