What's New in Oversight as of January 18, 2008:
Triennial Review. Office of Oversight is progressing on schedule and budget in implementing the 2008 Triennial Review (TR) Program. The 2008 TR contracts were awarded to four 8(a) business contractors in September 2007 to deliver approximately 200 TR reports, conduct 15 annual workshops, and provide logistical support for FTA annual oversight meeting. Approximately 20% of TR desk reviews and two (2) of the 15 workshops have been completed. The 2008 TR workshop schedule has been posted on FTA public website for review. The annual oversight meeting is in its early planning phase for a tentative late March 2008 meeting. The meeting will include a grants management training session for FTA regional staff.
Financial Management Oversight (FMO). The FMO program operates under a July to June schedule with assistance from five (5) contractors. For FY 2007/2008, four contractors were awarded task orders. A fifth contract is in place with a scheduled number of assignments through the duration of the contract. All FMO contractors have received various assignments based on FMO resource needs and requirements. For the 2008 program, the FMO contractors are scheduled to deliver approximately 55 FMO reports and provide support to 6 FMO seminars. The FMO reports are at various review stages and one (1) workshop has been completed. The 2008 FMO seminar schedule has been posted on FTA public site for review.
Procurement System Review (PSR). The 2008 PSR contract solicitation is progressing well with an award date scheduled for February 2008. For FY 2008, the Office of Procurement plans to support the Office of Oversight in awarding four (4) small business contracts to deliver approximately 32 PSR reports and provide logistical support for four (4) PSR workshops. Information for the 2008 PSR workshops will be posted on the FTA website for review after the contracts are awarded.
State Management Review (SMR). The award of the 2008 SMR contract is expected in February 2008. For FY 2008, the Office of Procurement plans to support the Office of Oversight in awarding two 8(a) business contracts to deliver approximately 22 SMR reports and provide logistical support for 3 SMR workshops. Information for the 2008 SMR workshops will be posted on the FTA website for review after the contracts are awarded.
