National Transit Institute (NTI) Transit Equity Course Offerings

The National Transit Institute, at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, was established under the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 to develop, promote, and deliver training and education programs for the public transit industry.  NTI is funded by a grant from the Federal Transit Administration.

Courses in Federal Compliance are designed to help grantees understand processes and learn tools to remain or become compliant with federal regulations. Target audiences include a broad range of titles and skill sets from paratransit operations managers, to trainers, construction managers, and project finance professionals.

Transit Equity Considerations

DBE Reporting Webinar (Intermediate)

On Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 2:30pm – 4:30pm EST, the FTA Office of Civil Rights will be conducting a web/teleconference session on how to correctly complete and submit the ‘Uniform Report of DBE Awards or Commitments and Payments’ using the DBE Reporting interface in TEAM.

This “intermediate” web/teleconference session is scheduled for one and a half hours and will focus on the specifics of DBE reporting. This course is designed to provide more examples and opportunities to practice than the beginner course. Participants will be expected to know the basics of 49 CFR Part 26 including the difference between race neutral & race conscious in regards to counting DBE participation.

Those interested in attending, please send your requests to FTADBEtraining@dot.gov. Following your request, you will be sent additional instructions on how to access the webinar. There is a limit of 99 slots for this webinar, so registration will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
