Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA)
Number 2013-07
02-19-13
REGION 8 BULLETIN NO: 2013-07
Subject: Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA)
Program Area:
Date: February 19, 2013
Dear Grantees:
The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA), beginning on 10/1/2010, requires grantees that received grants from FTA and passed through funds to sub-recipients to report information on their sub-awards via https://www.fsrs.gov/. This information is then made available to the public on http://www.usaspending.gov/. Reports need to be posted by the end of the month after the month in which the grant recipient passes through funds to sub-recipients.
FTA has recently identified a number of State Departments of Transportation that had received one or more FTA grants in FY 2012 but whose sub-award reports were not posted to http://www.usaspending.gov/ as of 12/31/12. All states in Region 8 need to ensure that their FFATA reports are up to date.
Please remember that recipients of JARC and New Freedom grants in FY 2012 also need to submit sub-award reports. While not every JARC or New Freedom grantee passes through funds to sub-recipients, grantees in these programs are more likely to do so.
Please contact Jennifer Stewart in the Region 8 office with any questions you may have at 720-963-3317.
Sincerely,
Linda M. Gehrke
Regional Administrator
