What is this?

The FTA employs approximately 500 staff in 10 program offices, headquartered in Washington, DC, and in field offices in 10 regions.  In addition, staff in five metropolitan offices provide additional support to meet the needs of the nation's largest transit operators.  Review the Organizational Chart.

Peter M. Rogoff: AdministratorAdministrator Peter M. Rogoff

Peter M. Rogoff was confirmed by the United States Senate as FTA Administrator on May 21, 2009. He served for 22 years on the staff of the Senate Appropriations Committee, including 14 years as the Democratic Staff Director of its Transportation Subcommittee. He is an acknowledged expert in the area of federal infrastructure budgeting and finance, having had an active role in the financing of each of the last three comprehensive surface transportation reauthorization bills dating back to the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991.  Read more about Administrator Rogoff
