Nathan J. Robinson: Associate Administrator for Communications & Congressional Affairs
Nathan J. Robinson was appointed Associate Administrator for Communications and Congressional Affairs by the Obama Administration on September 19, 2014. Leading a team of media and governmental affairs professionals, Nathan manages all aspects of the Federal Transit Administrationís legislative affairs activities as well as the agency's external and internal communications.
Mr. Robinson came to FTA from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), where he served as the Director of Congressional Affairs from January 2012 to August 2014.
Prior to joining the Department of Transportation, Mr. Robinson was a Senior Legislative Assistant handling transportation issues for Congressman Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania. He also worked for Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz of Pennsylvania and served as an engineer and photojournalist in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Mr. Robinson earned a BA in Politics and Spanish from Messiah College and an MA in Philosophy and Social Policy from the George Washington University.
He lives with his wife Anne and his daughter Eloise in Washington, D.C.
