How do I uninstall or disable the pop-up blocker?
The procedures to uninstall or disable popup blockers are different depending on the software. Look for help files in your pop-up blocker for instructions, or look for menus or buttons on the toolbar that will allow you to uninstall or disable the blocker. Many popup blockers can by temporarily disabled by holding the Control key on the keyboard while clicking the link. Some programs require that you remove them completely.
To remove or uninstall a program instead of just disabling it, use the Add/Remove Programs utility in Windows. Follow these steps:
- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Look for the name of the program installed (such as Popup Begone). Select the program name, and then click Remove. Follow any instructions you are given, then close the Control Panel.
