Description

This study will examine the potential of restoring passenger rail service on an active freight line spanning central New Jersey beginning in Ewing Township located along the Delaware River and travelling northeast to a connection with NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line at Bound Brook. The study will examine potential station sites and western terminus options. An environmental assessment will be made on the results of the planning phase.

Status

Through FY 1997, Congress has appropriated $0.5 million for the study.
